My soul sings it is filled with classical sounds.
If I just take the time to listen, I have a song of my own inside of me that was my dream tonight. So much so that I had to write it down before I could fall back asleep. It was a beat from each night I heard a rhythm and woke up and cannot stop repeating my soul sings.
Every moment I can I listen to music, I grew up always listening to music, my mom played all kinds, Patsy Cline to Hawaiian Island, classic rock music and more.
I listen to all kinds of genres until recently I had never really listened to classical music until a good friend suggested it while I wrote and she was right. She had learned I was writing a speaker meeting speech.
Since that speech I have gone on to sign up for a Recovery Coach class where I did receive my CCAR recovery coach certificate, I signed up for more training and two speaker meetings, board for a Recovery Festival
God works in ways you would never expected.

For years I prayed for Josh to get clean, as I dropped him off at recovery housing and after rehabs or phone call after phone call. Until the day, my phone rang, my heart dropped knowing that his sobriety would never come.
Just because he didn’t get sober, does not mean you can’t
You just have to take the next right step. If you’ve got ONE day sober—celebrate it. If you’ve got ONE year—celebrate it. If you stumbled—get back up and celebrate THAT too. Because EVERY sober day is a VICTORY.
And if you don’t believe in yourself yet— borrow MY belief in you, until you can.
Let’s say it together: EVERY sober day is a VICTORY.
Again! LOUDER—Every sober day is a VICTORY!
That’s the truth I’m living today. And if it’s possible for ME— it’s possible for YOU.
Words cannot even express the hurt and pain. I still feel to this day when I think of the many days he called me in a row in pain, agony, disappointment, lost, and broken and I was helpless from addictions and his mental health before he said his finally goodbye and to thank that after all those years I would be here today working with addiction Recovery spreading mental health and substance abuse awareness with love and kindness grace and humility.
You MATTER. Tomorrow NEEDS you. I need YOU.
Josh didn’t get the ending he deserved. But maybe you can.
We can’t change the past—but we CAN choose TODAY. And today, we choose HOPE.
We choose FREEDOM. We choose LIFE.
So let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep choosing to LIVE.
Let’s keep proving that recovery is not only possible—it is POWERFUL.
Before I go, I want to leave you with this: Recovery is WORTH it. YOU are WORTH it.
Say it with me—Recovery is worth it! You are worth it!
Until next time…
Keep fighting. Keep healing. Keep choosing hope.
Recovery is worth it.
